6th Grade supply list 22-23

Hello!

Below you will find a list of supplies for your sixth grade student. Each academic subject - ELA, Geography, Math and Science, requires a binder to hold handouts and course resources. Students should have pencils for Geography, Math and Science and pens to use in ELA. A pouch to keep them in that attaches inside a binder is easiest to carry. Colored pencils are for color-coding diagrams. Please be sure to provide a set of earbuds or headphones for your student to use with their Chromebook. Students use their Chromebooks every day during Study Skills for extra support in reading and math.

I hope that you and your student are having a fun and restful summer. Some students experience anxiety as they make the transition from elementary to middle school. You can assure your student that they will have lots of support as they learn and practice new skills, such as how to open a locker and move between different classrooms. A good way to prepare your student is to attend the open house prior to the first of school. Watch for communication from the school about this.
