General Reminders
GFMS Phones: We want to maximize time on learning and reduce distractions, and for these reasons, students at Great Falls Middle School are not permitted to have their phones on them. The students have lockers and they are encouraged to secure their phones in them. If the need arises, parents can call the front office to contact their children.
TFHS/GFMS Masks: Please remind your children to bring a mask to school each day. We can supply students with masks in the event that they forget, but having a comfortable mask that works well for them will provide students with the best experience.
Half Day on Wednesday, September 22, 2021
This is a reminder that Wednesday, September 22nd is a half-day due to teacher in-service, professional development work. Students will be dismissed at 11:00. Students will be offered a bagged lunch as they are leaving for the day. The remote Open House is still on.
Open House on Wednesday, September 22, 2021
Open Houses for both TFHS and GFMS will be remote with community members attending meetings with staff members and teachers through links for Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
∙ GFMS: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
∙ TFHS: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Each event will begin with a welcome and information for all of our community members. This portion of the evening will be hosted by our school administrators. From there, community members will move to other sessions to meet with their student’s teachers. A full schedule, with all of the links for each of these events, will be shared by Tuesday, September 21st. We will list the links on the document tomorrow, and students will also receive the links from their teachers. If you have any concerns about your device and accessibility, we recommend using your child’s Chromebook.
COVID Vaccine Clinic
This is a reminder that the GMRSD is hosting COVID vaccine clinics this week. These clinics are open to all staff, students and the community. Below you will find the times and sign up links for each of these clinics. Walks-ins are welcome, but reserving a spot by signing up is encouraged.
