On Saturday, January 19th three GFMS 8th grade students attended Project 351’s annual Launch Day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. 351 students representing every town and city in Massachusetts traveled to Boston and gathered in historic Faneuil Hall to launch a year-long service project. Our GFMS students made new friendships, listened to inspirational calls to action from service leaders including Governor Charlie Baker, First Lady Lauren Baker and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and then went out to spend their first day in service!   A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Cogswell and Ms. Schiowitz for assisting with student council elections.  We have one returning member and eight new members to our spring student council. Thank you to Mr. Wonsey for assisting in taking down all or the beautiful artwork that lined our halls for the Winter Concert and Art Show.
