Dear Gill Families, Caregivers, and Staff,
It’s been a busy week with parents and caregivers coming in for conferences. It’s been so great to see families coming in for in person meetings again! I hope that your meetings with teachers have been productive and informative, that all of your questions answered, and concerns addressed.
Here are an update to be aware of:
- I am looking for two parents to join me and two of my staff on the School Council. Schools are required to have a School Council composed of parents, staff, and community member. The purpose of the School Council is to assist principals by reviewing the school building budget, developing the school improvement plan, and taking on other responsibilities. Councils may also take on other responsibilities, including policymaking, as granted by the local school committee. The School Council Meets the third Wednesday each month, from 3:30-4:30 at the school. Our first meeting is Wednesday, November 18th. If you ARE interested, please contact me at lisa.desjarlais@gmrsd.org, and I’ll be in touch. I promise not to assign any homework if you are part of this group!

Pfizer or Moderna vaccines available for those over 18, including boosters. J & J vaccines also available.
Face masks & distancing required.
