Happy Friday from Gill Elementary!

Thank you to all the new and veteran faces we saw at the PTO meeting last night. The PTO is a fantastic organization that supports our students’ experiences inside and outside the classroom as well as community events throughout the year.

Each year, Greenfield Savings Bank runs a savings program with interested students and families. This year, they will be starting on 10/1. Our annual Gill Bon Fire will be held on 10/18 from 5:00-8:00 this year with a rain date of 10/25. Please keep a lookout for Pallet Donation Requests. We ask that you please not drop them off prior to the request going out.

The GMRSD is looking for a part time custodian to join their team. Please email me if you are interested. Likewise, we are looking for at least one full-time paraprofessional to join our team here at Gill Elementary School. Please email me if you are interested.

Lastly, a note about transportation. This is primarily for families of our students who ride the bus from one of our larger stops. In the morning, please wait until all students have boarded the bus before leaving in your cars. We have many small children who are moving around at the bus stop to get onto the bus. Having cars moving around them at the same time presents a safety concern. Likewise, for those of you picking up or dropping off at school, please wait in the line unless directed to pass. Many of our students enter through the rear driver’s side door, and passing the line puts them at risk. Thank you all for your cooperation in keeping our kids safe.
