Dear Gill Families, Caregivers, and Staff,
This is a very busy month, as you can see by the list of dates above. Beginning Monday, we are collecting non-perishable items near the office for families in need. If you send in food items, please check the expiration dates as we will not be donating outdated items. Thank you in advance for your support!
Here are some updates and reminders to be aware of:
- Please help us to keep everyone safe and healthy by continuing to send your child to school wearing a mask, with a back-up mask in their backpack. If your child tends to need more than one “mask change” during the day, please be sure to send additional replacement masks. While we do have extra masks on hand, it is the responsibility of each family to ensure that their child has an adequate supply of masks for their use. For students who are bringing reusable masks, please remember to wash them periodically as some of them are starting to look very grimy!
- We WILL be having snow days this year. The Department of Education is not allowing remote learning days so we will close school due to inclement weather that impacts students/staff safely traveling to school. These days will need to be made up in June.
- Please dress your child in layers. To encourage proper air ventilation to reduce the transmission of the virus, staff have been instructed to continue using their air purifiers as well as cracking a window in the classroom. With colder temperatures, this will impact the temperature of the classroom, so layers are preferred to ensure your child’s comfort.
Families are welcome to join in on the virtual All-School Meet. https://meet.google.com/pea-phaj-dkc
- Wednesday is Flannel Day- If your child has piece of flannel they can wear to participate, that would be great!
Have a wonderful weekend!
