Happy Friday from Gill Elementary School!

Thank you to the PTO and all of the parents who worked to make Teacher Appreciation Week so special for staff here at Gill Elementary. We always feel the love from the community, but it was especially strong this week. We appreciate you all as well!

A huge thanks to Chris Polatin and Colleen Sculley for planning and conducting the vernal pool exploration this week. It’s amazing what we can find in our own backyard.

It’s beginning to get warmer outside. Please make sure to send water bottles with your kids. Having them cuts down on the dixie cup waste that we produce, as well as the frequency of leaving class to get water. Please try to avoid glass, though, as glass containers present a safety hazard.

Flowers are ready for pick-up from the PTO. If you have ordered them, please come on by and grab yours from out front.

Lastly, a few important dates: Next Friday, 5/17, we will have our Memorial Day Sing. This somber event includes presentations from local veterans associations. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
