Today’s weather offered us the perfect transition to April School Vacation Week! I hope that you’ll all have a chance to enjoy some fun outdoor activities during the upcoming week. I am looking forward to doing some spring cleaning in my yard and planting some flowers to brighten things up!

MCAS TESTING NEXT WEEK
Next Wednesday and Thursday we will begin English Language Arts MCAS testing for grades 3 to 5. Test sessions will begin almost immediately after the breakfast program has finished. It is important that your child be in school and on time. It is also equally important that your child have a good nights’ sleep beforehand and have a good breakfast at home or at school to be well fueled. As you know, we practice many health and safety routines here at school. Your Hillcrest student is familiar with many of these – hearing and vision screening, regular hand-washing, following the rules for walking in the hallways, and participating in safety drills (fire and lockdown).
