Dear District Families,
After consulting with state agencies, local health officials, and area school districts, the district decided to close its schools for one week, March 16-20. We will reassess the situation next week to consider what to do beyond March 20.
While there are no identified cases of the COVID-19 virus in our schools or towns, the lack of testing capacity for the virus creates a situation of a very large unknown. Estimadas amilias del Distrito Escolar,
Después de consultar con agencias estatales, funcionarios locales de salud y distritos escolares del área, el distrito decidió cerrar sus escuelas por una semana, del 16 al 20 de marzo. Volveremos a evaluar la situación la próxima semana para considerar qué hacer más allá del 20 de marzo.

GMRSD received notification that the Department of Public School Monitoring will be suspending school site visits given evolving local, state, and national responses to the Covid-19 situation. The district will send out a press release when this site visit is rescheduled.
