Dear Hillcrest Families,

I hope that this past Tuesday was our final Snow Day of the school year! We all really want to get settled back into our learning routines without the interruption of stormy weather. 

A few important news items:

• The GMRSD School Committee has approved an updated school calendar with the last day of school for students on June 22nd. The updated calendar is attached to your weekly email. 

• Please be sure to read the March edition of the Hillcrest Math Newsletter attached to this week’s email. Ms. Hirst has prepared an excellent overview of the current math learning that is happening in our classrooms.  

• Are you or a family member looking for a Covid 19 vaccine? Please see the attached flier for details about a March 23rd vaccine clinic at MCSM and a March 31st clinic at the Montague Senior Center. 

• Next month, we will host our Preschool Open House & Registration for new preschoolers and their families.  The event will take place on Friday, April 28th from 12:30 to 2:30.  New students and their families can visit our preschool classrooms, meet our preschool teachers and complete registration paperwork. 

REPEAT ITEMS

• We’re looking forward to meeting next year’s kindergarten students and their families at our Kindergarten Open House on Thursday, March 30th from 5:30 to 6:30. 

• Friends of Hillcrest is planning a Spring Festival on Sunday, May 7th. If you are able to volunteer at this fun event, please email friendsofhillcrest2015@gmail.com.

Estimadas familias de Hillcrest,

¡Espero que este martes pasado haya sido nuestro último Día de Nieve del año escolar! Todos tenemos muchas ganas de volver a nuestras rutinas de aprendizaje sin la interrupción del clima tormentoso.

Algunas noticias importantes:

• Calendario Actualizado 

• Por favor, asegúrese de leer el Boletín de Matemáticas de Hillcrest de Marzo adjunto al correo electrónico de esta semana. La Sra. Hirst ha preparado una excelente visión general del aprendizaje actual en Matemáticas que está pasando en nuestras aulas. 

• ¿Está usted o un miembro de su familia buscando la vacuna Covid 19? Por favor vea el volante adjunto para detalles acerca de una clínica para la vacuna el 23 de Marzo en MCSM y una clínica el 31 de Marzo en el Montague Senior Center.

• El próximo mes, seremos anfitriones de nuestra Casa Abierta de Preescolar e Inscripción para niños nuevos de preescolar y sus familias.  El evento tendrá lugar el Viernes, 28 de Abril de 12:30 a 2:30.  Los nuevos estudiantes y sus familias pueden visitar nuestras aulas de preescolar, conocer a nuestros maestros de preescolar y completar el papeleo de inscripción.

ARTÍCULOS REPETIDOS

• Estamos ansiosos por conocer a los estudiantes de Kindergarten del próximo año y a sus familias en nuestra Casa Abierta de Kindergarten el Jueves, 30 de Marzo de 5:30 a 6:30.

• Amigos de Hillcrest está planeando un Festival de Primavera el Domingo, 7 de Mayo. Si usted es capaz de ser voluntario en este divertido evento, por favor envíe un correo electrónico a friendsofhillcrest2015@gmail.com.
