March 12, 2021
Dear Hillcrest Families,
Our preschool and kindergarten students have been learning all about the Lion and Lamb weather that March brings to New England. The past two days of “Lamb” weather have been such a treat! The extra dose of sunshine brings some extra joy to our school days and makes those outdoor mask breaks much more enjoyable.
Some important news items for the week:
-
All Hillcrest families received an email from me this morning that contains an important survey for you to complete. This survey is focused on the district’s return to in-person learning five days a week beginning on April 5th. Please be sure to check your email or the Hillcrest website for this very important information.
-
Our school district is sponsoring a workshop on Internet Safety for Children of All Ages on Wednesday, March 17th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. via Zoon. This workshop will be facilitated by staff from the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and the Children’s Advocacy Center. Please see this link for details.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are happening next week! By now, you should have received a confirmation of your conference time from your child’s teacher. If not, please contact your child’s teacher via email or call our Main Office at 863-9526. Our teachers are really looking forward to this opportunity to connect with you!

It’s been an exceptionally challenging year for all families, and I want to share a resource that has been very helpful to many. It’s a website designed to connect families with community resources and information about child development, developmental challenges and the many ups and downs of parenting. You can check it out at www.handholdma.org.
