Principal Newsletter for November 14, 2019
-
Thank you to all families who came to partner with our staff during parent/teacher conferences. If you were unable to make your appointment, please reach out to your child’s teacher to reschedule.
-
A thank you also to all families who purchased books at our book fair! We earned $700.00 to purchase books and needed supplies for our library.
-
All students will be outside in the morning and mid day recess as long as the wind and air temperature combined is 20 degrees or greater. Please send your child dressed appropriately for the cold temperatures.
-
As the temperatures cool and kids spend more time inside, we begin to see cases of head lice. The school committee policy does NOT send students home, we no longer conduct all school head checks, and letters to families are not sent. Lice does not pose a health risk or health hazard. If your child does get head lice, it’s important to alert our nurse, so she can do a head check to ensure it’s not getting worse and to offer recommendations to ensure it doesn’t return or reinfest.
-
Wednesday, November 20 there will be a Friends of Sheffield meeting in our staff room at 6:00 pm.
-
Thursday, November 21 is a banking day.
-
Friday, November 22, we have an All School Meeting in our auditorium starting at 2:15. All are welcome to attend. Please encourage your child to wear their blue t-shirt to show their Sheffield Pride.
