Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed some time off, the last significant time off until summer vacation!
-
As the weather is finally getting nicer, more and more of our students are riding bicycles and scooters to school. This is great exercise and it’s great to see. Please let me remind you that it is a law in Massachusetts that ALL students under the age of 16 have to wear a helmet. Please make sure your child has on a helmet when riding or scootering to school.

We have our April All School meeting tomorrow, Friday April 26 in our auditorium from 2:15-2:45. All families are welcome to attend.
-
Saturday, April 27 is the Spring Parade as well as Opening day for baseball/softball. This year Sheffield will not be walking as a group as we’ve found many of our students walk with other community organizations. Families are encouraged to park in our parking lot and sit near the baseball field to watch the parade, it’s a great spot!

Our students will again be going to Camp Keewanee for field day, thanks to all your fundraising efforts and support from our Friends of Sheffield (FOS). If you are interested, or thinking about volunteering, you need to have a current CORI form on file with the school. This process involves stopping by the office during business hours, 8:00-4:00, to have us make a copy of your driver’s license/ID card, and quickly filling out the form. If you are not sure if your CORI is current, give us a call at 863-9326.

We have changed our All School Sing to be on Thursday, May 23. We will not have a sing on May 2. More information about our May 23 All School Sing-honoring Memorial Day will be forthcoming.
With Sheffield Pride,
Melissa Pitrat
