School Calendar

  • Next week No School: Spring Break

  • FOS meeting will be on Wednesday, April 27th at 4:00 p.m.

  • School council meeting will be held on Tuesday April 26th at 4:00 p.m.

  • At this time, June 15th is the last day of this school year.

New Staff Member:

  • Welcome Heather Bernard to the Sheffield team.  Heather started 4/11 as a paraprofessional.

  • Kaoru Toyoda will also be joining the Sheffield team, as a special education teacher.  Mrs. Toyoda will start on 4/25 following spring break.

Departing Staff Member

  • Sheffield Elementary is losing paraprofessional, Shelli Taylor.  Shelli’s last day is Friday, 4/15.  We wish her well in the future.

Other News:

  • MCAS 

    • Students in grades 3 to 5 worked very hard on the English Language Arts tests. Thank you to our Sheffield families for supporting their children through these challenging assessments.

    • Coming soon, Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 and 12 will be the MCAS Mathematics assessments for grades 3 to 5. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday May 24 and 25 grade 5 will have Science.

Fundraiser:

Friends of Sheffield is holding a Hillside Pizza Fundraiser.  You should see the order form and information sheet this week.  If you did not get one or need another one, please email us at Friendsofsheffield@gmail.com.  All orders and money are due on Wednesday, April 27.  Pickup will be Wednesday, May 11 from 2:45-3:45.  We do not have freezer space to hold your items after this pickup time.  Please arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your orders if you can't make this time work.  Thank you so much.  We are looking forward to a successful fundraiser!
