Principal Newsletter 4/1/21
-
Full time in person learning starts on Monday, April 5!
-
Students will be eating breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria at dedicated desks or in one of the 4 tents that will be on school grounds.
-
Arrival will still be at 8:25, and dismissal will be at 3:15.
-
Students will be 3 feet apart in class, masked, windows cracked or open with air purifiers in every room.
-
We have moved eating outside of the classroom due to guidelines that state that students need to be 6 feet when unmasked to eat, therefore there will be no snack time in classrooms.
-
We have a dedicated remote teacher, so those students in school will have the full attention of their teacher.
-
If your child is absent they will not be remoting into Mr. Cerone’s or any other classroom. They will simply have to make up the work, like pre-COVID times. If a student needs to quarantine and you’ve alerted both our nurse and office, I will consult your child’s classroom teacher and organize a materials drop off.
-
Wednesday, April 7 is a half day with a noon dismissal.
-
-
We are trying to fill two 10 month positions; one custodial position and one cafeteria position. Please contact Sabrina Blanchard at sabrina.blanchard@gmrsd.org if you have any questions or are interested.
-
If you have signed out a school issued chromebook and powerchord, please return them to school. Our school devices will remain in school and will be used at teacher discretion.
-
Friendly reminder that April vacation is April 19-23. We are offering 4 days of ‘school’ from 10:00-2:00 and a flyer with information will be going home soon.
-
If a family changes their mind about staying remote and wants to their child to attend school in person, we are requiring 2 weeks before allowing them to return. This is due to ensuring 3 feet apart in classrooms and we may have to move a class to ensure we’re following these guidelines.
-
Report cards are being mailed out on Friday, April 2, so expect them the week of April 5th.
