GMRSD MATH NIGHT!

Thank you to everyone that came out for the GMRSD Math Night! What a great event! We appreciate all the hard work that went into planning, organizing and orchestrating Math Night with a special shout out to Jeanne Powers, GMRSD Director of Teaching and Learning and Nikki Henderson, Sheffield's Math Interventionist!

In second grade we finished up our work on maps by making 3D landform models. Ask your mapmaker to point out the different landforms on their models.

The GMEF is back with the potential of $10,000 for Student Enrichment

“Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be”.

Eighteen years ago, the Gill-Montague Education Fund accepted this challenge to enrich the lives of their students by raising funds that would provide programs and resources with educational opportunities. To date, we have awarded nearly $126,840 in grants.

After a 4 year hiatus, the GMEF is excited to return this Saturday, April 29, 2023@ 7:00pm with Faithfully - “An Eagles & Journey Experience” in the TFHS Theater.

A full house means ticket sales can provide a minimum of $10,000 for student enrichment! Please encourage family, friends and neighbors to support student enrichment.

NUTRITION DEPARTMENT NEWS

Hi Sheffield families,

At Sheffield Elementary School as in all of Gill-Montague Regional School District, we in the nutrition department offer FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students. We encourage all students to have a substantial breakfast before the school day so that their brains are ready and able to engage in productive learning. Please know that if a day comes when you or your student is running late and can’t get breakfast at home, it is always available at school, at no cost to families.

Recently we have been adding new and different items to our lunch line. If your student hasn’t tried lunch lately this would be a great time to come in and check it out. We are also hoping to add more new items to the breakfast and lunch offerings to give our students a variety to choose from.
