Mandatory 4th Grade Physical

All 4th grade students are required to have a physical during grade 4. Physicals meet state requirements if they are done on or after March 1, 2023. If your 4th grade student has not had a physical, please schedule one as soon as possible with their primary doctor and provide documentation to the school nurse.

Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. through Art with Ms. Castro-Santos

Grade 5 students watched a video of the story, "Martin's Big Words" and discussed what are the words we use when we think about Martin? They painted a portrait of Martin and created a colorful background filled with Martin's words.

Cloe Project with TFHS

The Rise Up class as TFHS is a course dedicated to community and growth. The high school students researched books about differences. Tatiana, Cloe, Brody, Micki, Teagan, Shayly, Evelyn, Owen, Nemo, Connor, Lexi, and Ms. Klumb read the selected books to all Sheffield second and third grade students. They held class discussions about the books they read to us and taught us that it is okay to ask questions about differences in a respectful way.

We are so grateful for the time you spent teaching us! We learned so much!

Taxes in Colonial Massachusetts

In Ms. Tully's class, students learned about taxes in colonial Massachusetts. Ask your 3rd grader about they learned. (They discovered it was unfair!)

All School Field Trip to see Willy Wonka Jr.

Thanks to the Friends of Sheffield, all SES students received a "golden ticket" to see a live musical performance starring some of our Sheffield Students! We are so excited to announced that FOS is taking our school on a field trip to see the musical "Willy Wonka Jr." at Ja'Duke Center for the Performing Arts on January 26, 2023.

Please make sure to sign and return the field trip permission form no later than Friday, January 20, 2023.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at Sheffield

Social and emotional learning (SEL) as an integral part of education and human development. SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
