Principal Newsletter 11/12/21

• A friendly reminder that your child needs to come to school daily with a water bottle and multiple masks. We have a water bottle filling station to protect your child from having their mouth near a fountain. Students who forget their waterbottle are going to the nurse for a cup. She’s almost out of cups. Your child needs multiple masks if the one they come to school with breaks, gets food on it, etc. We are also low on masks. Your assistance in ensuring your child has these daily items is greatly appreciated.
• Another friendly reminder that we will have outdoor recess so long as the air and wind temperatures are 20 degrees or above. Please make sure your child has outdoor clothing to ensure they’re warm and comfortable. When snow arrives, students can play in the snow if they have snowpants and boots. This is because these prevent students from getting soaked. Students who do not have snowpants and boots will have to stay on the blacktop
• Wednesday, November 17 there’s a remote FOS meeting from 4:00-4:45.
• Hold the date: November 29 there will be a COVID vaccine Vax Bus, sponsored by the FRCOG and DPH, that is coming to Sheffield Elementary. The link to sign up is on our website. Parents do not need to be present if they sign the consent for their child ahead of time. Everyone age 5 and older are welcome at the Sheffield clinic. Boosters will also be available. Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines will all be available for adults. The event will take place in the parking lot. No school access will be required for attendees.
