Thursday morning all students will participate in our annual bus evacuation drill. The drill consists of students being shown and practicing how to exit the bus from all doors- front and rear.

The paraprofessionals who oversee recess planned games that could be taught if a structured recess was required. A structured recess is when a classroom works with a para to play a game; learning the rules, reviewing good sportsmanship and what that looks like and sounds like as well as time practicing the game. We will do this when safety concerns- either verbal or physical are reported repeatedly by students to the adults outside.

The play structure is still off limits due to safety, but our maintenance staff have begun making the repairs, so it should be open soon.

Looking ahead, remember there is no school on October 11 in observance of Columbus Day.
