Wednesday, September 22 is a half day of school with a noon dismissal. Every half day we invite staff and students to participate in a school spirit day. This coming Wednesday is Sports Day! Staff and students are invited to show their Sheffield Pride by wearing a shirt or sweatshirt of their favorite sports team. This is not a hat day. All spirit days are voluntary and are “if you want to”, not a “have to.” Students will eat lunch before dismissal.

There is a free COVID vaccine clinic at Sheffield on September 23 from 4:15-6:00pm. Here is the link to sign up. Any additional questions, please reach out to Nurse Sue.https://tinyurl.com/SheffieldElementaryVax

I am in need of one or two parent volunteers to join our School Council. The role of the Sheffield Elementary School Council is to identify and prioritize the needs of the Sheffield Elementary School community and to advise the Principal in the development and implementation of the Sheffield Elementary School Improvement Plan. The Sheffield School Council meets monthly from October to May. Historically, we’ve met right after school, but we can be flexible.

Our playground structure is still off limits as we continue to await parts to fix and ensure its safety. I’ll alert you when it is safe again to use.
