Principal Newsletter 11/20/2020
● Next week is a shortened week with Monday and Tuesday being full days and Wednesday is a true half day with all classes ending by noon. There is no school both Thursday and Friday in celebration of the Thanksgiving break.
● Sheffield will again support a food drive for Montague Cathlolic Social Ministries which provides food to families in need. We will collect donated non perishable food items outside in the front of Sheffield from November 30-December 17 daily from 8:00-4:00. Please consider donating.
● On Tuesday, 11/24/20, a wonderful team of 25 students and 5 staff from Great Falls Middle School and Turners Falls High School will be walking a ‘Masked Montague Mini March' to raise money for The Food Bank of Western Mass. If they pass your house or place of work, feel free to step outside and wave as they walk by!! OR donate non-perishable food items as they pass your house. The group will leave TFHS by 10am. The first stop will be Scotty’s Store, 2nd stop will be Peskeomskut Park and the 3rd stop will be Central office/Sheffield School. The group will arrive back to TFHS by around 1:30. The food items will be donated to Our Lady of Peace church for their food drive in December.
● I have been remiss in sharing the news that Christine Limoges is the district’s Director of Teaching and Learning. She works with all schools on curriculum. She is no longer the Assistant Principal of Sheffield and her vacant position will not be filled. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
