Principal Newsletter 4/30/2020
Principal Newsletter for April 30,2020
● The governor has given the directive that we are not retaining students due to the early closure of school. We will be passing each child onto the next grade. More information will be shared in the coming weeks about this.
● If you are looking for something to do, please walk up or drive and visit the school to read the poems hanging on our ‘poet trees’. They will be up until May 7th. There was a nice article today’s Montague Reporter on this event. It’s not too late to add a poem!
● We are all here to support you and your child. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher with any question or concerns about academic expectations. It is not our intention to overwhelm you or your child.
From the Nurse’s Office:
Warmer weather is here and so social distancing is so important to remember, even when outside. Keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home needs to continue, and so here are few friendly reminders:
● Stay at least 6 feet from other people.
● Playgrounds and parks are still closed.
● Try to stay out of crowded places and avoid gathering in groups.
● Keeping space between you and others is one of the best tools we have to avoid being exposed to this virus.
● If you do need to leave your home, wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer with you and wash your hands once you return.
Stay safe, healthy and remember you can call Nurse Sue, with healthcare questions 9a-12p Monday- Friday.
